Who we are
ROETSA™ is the responsible party for the personal information you give us on roetsa.co.za. Our registered company name, registration number and Information Officer will be listed here once the company is registered. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
Waitlist: your email address, and if you choose to give them, your first name, men's or women's, usual shoe size, favourite colour, province and WhatsApp number.
Share links: your personal share code, whose link you joined through (if any), and how many people joined through yours.
We also record the consent wording you agreed to, when you agreed, and whether you confirmed your email address.
Why we use it
To email you about R01 and the founders' pre-order, which is direct marketing you opted in to (POPIA section 69).
To plan how many pairs to make in each size and colour. For planning we only use totals, not individual answers.
Where it is kept
Our systems run on servers in the European Union (Hetzner, Helsinki, Finland), protected by Cloudflare. The EU's data protection law gives protection at least equal to POPIA (section 72). We do not sell or rent your information.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or 12 months after launch if you do not buy, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe with the link in any email. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing [email protected]. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
